Agnes Elizabeth Mullen, age 89, of Lansdale, formerly of Skippack, was called to be with Our Lord on October 5, 2013. She lived at Schwenkfeld Manor, Lansdale. She was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend of 37 years, George J. Mullen, who departed this life in November, 2000. Born May 3, 1924 in Philadelphia, Agnes was the devoted daughter of the late Alan and Catherine McGlade Yost. Mrs. Mullen was a longtime active member of St. Stanislaus Parish. She belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society, cooked and cleaned for the church and sang in the Funeral Choir. Raised on a farm she was a hardworker all her life. She held many many jobs throughout her 89 years. Agnes always prided herself on being dependable. Her volunteer work was extensive. Agnes is survived by two daughters, Catherine Dahl and her husband Allan of Lansdale and Helen Schmidt and her husband Don of Silverdale; four beloved grandchildren, Krista Dahl Campbell and her husband Larry of Collegeville, Rick Schmidt of Silverdale, Brian Dahl of Florida and Eric Dahl of Lansdale; 2 great grandchildren, Dylan and Aidan Campbell; her sister Bette Flack and her husband Edward of Royersford and sister-in-law Bernadine Yost. She was preceded in death by her older half sister, Florence Fisher and her husband George and Alan Yost, her only brother. A viewing will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 from 10:00AM to 10:45AM, at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment private. Arrangements are by Simcox-McIlvaine in Lansdale.
