Gerald D. “Jerry” Hinkle, age 53, of Lansdale died unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, October 5, 2013.  He was the beloved husband of Kathryn M. “Kate” (Pachuta) Hinkle.  Born and raised in Royersford, he was the son of the late Donald G. and Elizabeth J. (Barto) Hinkle.  He moved to Lansdale while starting his family with Kate. Jerry was the Executive Director of Systems at Temple University. In addition to his wife he is survived by his two loving sons, William S. and Matthew E. Hinkle, both of Lansdale, two sisters, Linda J. Maisel (the late Steven) of Ambler and Kathleen J. Owens (James) of Potomac, MD as well as many aunts, uncles and other close family.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 920 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale (in Upper Gwynedd), PA. 19446, where the family will receive friends from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM before the Mass.  Interment private at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA. 19446 ( please note with donations, “attn: Rich Girard for the St. Stanislaus Summer Festival Fund”) or the Jerry Hinkle Scholarship Fund c/o Temple University Computer Services, 710 Conwell Hall, 1801 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA. 19122.  Arrangements are by the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home in Lansdale.
