Helen Marie “Donovan” Wagner, age 94, of Lansdale died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at St. Mary Manor in Lansdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Wagner in December of 1972.

Born and raised in the East Falls section of Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Regan) Donovan. Mrs. Wagner was formerly a longtime Parishioner of St. Bridget’s Parish (East Falls) and was a graduate of Germantown High School.

She is survived by two loving children; her son Robert (Bob) Wagner and his wife Mary Jane of Bear DE., and her daughter Peggy Ann Mendte and her husband J. Robert (Bob) of Lansdale as well as 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son Richard Wagner and 9 brothers and sisters; James, John, Joseph, Mae, and Baby Helen Donovan, Catherine Ward, Margaret Belle, Gertrude Dougherty and Rita Miles.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 11 AM at Corpus Christi Church, 920 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446 (in Upper Gwynedd Twp.) where the family will receive friends from 8:30 to 10:45 AM Tuesday morning before Mass. Interment is in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Helen’s name may be made to Corpus Christi Church (address above). Arrangements are by Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home in Lansdale.
