Helen Ruffo, age 94, of Miami and Vero Beach, Florida, formerly of Highland Avenue, Lansdale, died on August 16th at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Born and raised in Haycock Township, she was the daughter of the late Boleslaw and Mamie Zurawski Dobrezeniecki.
She was a tile inspector for 30 years at the former American Olean Tile Company in Lansdale.
Her husband, Augustus Ruffo, died in March, 1989.
While living in Lansdale, Helen was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
Mrs. Ruffo loved to travel which she did extensively world wide and was an avid reader.
She was devoted to her sons and their education. Her son Jeffrey remembered that she bought a vocabulary book when they were young and made them learn a vocabulary word everyday. They finished the book.
Surviving is her son Dr. Jeffrey J. Ruffo of Vero Beach, FL. and her sister Eleanor Miller of Miami.
She was preceded in death by her son Gregory Ruffo in 2001 and her sisters Irene O’Donnell and Marcella Kehs.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Monday, August 25th at 11AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. 19446 where the family will receive friends
Monday from 10 to 11AM. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
For those desiring, in lieu flowers, memorial contributions in Helen’s name to St. Stanislaus Church, (address above), would be preferred.
