Michael W. Dempsey, age 70, of Plymouth Meeting died on October 6, 2014 at his residence. He had been in failing health.

Born in Leonardo, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Michael William and Arlene McEvoy Dempsey. He has lived in Plymouth Meeting for 20 years.

He retired as a Lieutenant Commander serving with the US Navy. He later worked as a consultant for AT&T.

Surviving are two sons Stephen M. Dempsey and his wife Rosemarie of North Wales and Ryan Dempsey and his wife Cindy of Skippack; 3 grandchildren and his sister Michelle Cashes of Florida. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Dempsey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 11th at 11AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Avenue where the family will receive friends Saturday from 10 to 11AM. Interment private. For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Heart Assn., 1617 JFK Blvd., Suite 700, Phila, PA. 19107 would be preferred.
