Dorothy “Dot” Egner Person, age 92, of Foulkeways at Gwynedd  died Thursday, December 4, 2014.  She had recently celebrated 25 years as a resident of Foulkeways.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Person who died in March of 1985.  They had  married in 1943. Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late DeForest Lee and Harrietta (nee. King) Egner.

As a very active member of Foulkeways she ran tours of the facility, was on the flower and pet committee, and worked in the gift shop.  A lifelong volunteer, Mrs. Person was a member of The Altar Guild at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Whitemarsh, The Home for the Aged and All Saints Hospital.  She enjoyed playing Bridge, shuffleboard, sewing, traveling and working with the Questers.

Surviving are her beloved son, Robert W. Person and his wife Barbara of Warrington, 5 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren as well as her son-in-law Gary Hattal.  In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Barbara Ann Hattal.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Foulkeways at Gwynedd, 1120 Meetinghouse Rd., Gwynedd, PA. 19436.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Dorothy’s name to Montgomery County SPCA, 19 E. Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA. 19428.  Arrangements are by Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home.
