Michael P. Boland, 76, of Lansdale, died Friday, January 9, 2015 at his home. He was the husband of Maureen (McCrudden) Boland. Born and raised in Olney, he was the son of the late Dr. Francis Boland and Genevieve (Gallagher) Boland. Mr. Boland was a graduate of LaSalle High School, LaSalle College, and Temple University, schools that contributed to his lifelong interests in sports and education. The Bolands moved to Lansdale in 1963. Mr. Boland served in the USAR Artillery as a First Lieutenant and he was a teacher in the Colonial School District for 40 years.
Dear Old Dad enjoyed hard work, his gardens, the outdoors, and above all the ocean and boating; passions just part of his enduring legacy to his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his 5 children: Maureen Boland, John Bintner and their children Celine, Ian and Maureen; Michael Boland, his wife Alyce and their children Hannah and Lindsay; William Boland, his wife Marlene and their children Andrew, Erin and Joey; David Boland, his wife Beverly and their children Genevieve and Liam; and Kathleen Wissert, Robert Wissert and their children Megan and Colleen. He is also survived by his 5 brothers, Francis, William (Carol), James (Marianne), John (Nancy), Bernard (Diane) and his cousin Msgr. John Boland. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Ruth Boland and a nephew Jeffrey Boland.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446, where the family will receive friends from 9 to 11 before Mass. Burial will be private.
