Lucy M. Salerno, age 91, of Hatfield, formerly of Philadelphia, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on January 1, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Thomas J. Salerno in May of 1982.
Born in Atlantic City, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Julia (nee. Zecca) Santoro. Lucy was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Firstrust Bank in North East Philadelphia retiring in 1992. Lucy moved to the North Penn area in 1978 and had previously lived in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia. She was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church.
Surviving are her three loving children: sons, Thomas G. Salerno (Barbara) of NE. Philadelphia and Robert J. Salerno (Barbara) of Glenside and daughter, Julie Marie Clymer (Ken) of Hatfield, six grandchildren: Janice, Thomas, Robert, Holly, Michael and Gregory, 4 Great Grandchildren: Ashley, Kayla, Amber and Lilianna, brother Jack Santoro (Martha) of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, sister Rita Piperno (the late George) of Virginia and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lucy’s Funeral Mass on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1601 Derstine Rd., Hatfield, PA. 19440, where the family will receive friends 10 to 11 AM before Mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham.

Julie, Ken, Michael and Greg – please know we are praying for you during this difficult time, after the loss of your beloved mom/grandmother. Losing a parent/grandparent is not easy.
