Henry J. Kauflie Jr., age 91, longtime resident of Lansdale, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 peacefully in Harleysville, PA.

Henry was born in Hilltown, PA on July 4, 1926 and was the son of the late Agnes (Kerns) and Henry Kauflie.

He was a World War II Army Veteran. Prior to retirement, he was employed at Keystone AAA. Henry was a member of the Lansdale Borough Council and actively involved in local politics during the 1970s. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards with his friends and singing.

He is survived by a daughter Elizabeth (Kauflie) Potson and her husband Andrew, and three sons, Henry (Jay) Kauflie and his wife Sue Ellen, Charles Kauflie and his wife Tina and William Kauflie, a sister Mary (Kauflie) Shaw, four grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his brother John Charles Kauflie and his sister Abigail (Kauflie) Johnston.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Stanslaus Church, 51 Lansdale Avenue., Lansdale, on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive relatives and friends at 10:00 a.m.
