Pietro Rossi—4/26/2018

Pietro Rossi, age 89, of Lansdale passed away, Thursday morning, April 26, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Elena (nee. Varone) Rossi. Born in Montaquila, Italy, on July 26, 1928, he was the son of the late Gennaro and Anna (nee. Pirollo) Rossi.

He was an avid gardener who had great pride in his work. He was a very affectionate family man who’s greatest love was caring for and being with his family.

In addition to his wife he is survived by 4 loving children; daughters Anna Dickinson (the late Steven) of Delran, NJ and Natalina Veneziale (Nick) of Lansdale and sons Gennaro and Roberto Rossi, both of Lansdale, as well as 6 grandchildren; Stacy, Eric, Steven, Dominic, Emilia and Dylan. Mr. Rossi was the second oldest and first boy of 10 brothers and sisters.

Surviving are Feliciano Rossi, Nicandro (Nicolina) Rossi, Nicola (Mary) Rossi, Angela Dicristofano (the late Angelo), Lidia Varone (Ernesto) and Filomena Sanna (Dino).

He was preceded by Maria Rossi, Vittorio Rossi (survived by Margerita) and Benito Rossi (survived by Anna). He had many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:00 AM in Church before Mass. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham Twp.

  3. Uncle Pete, I will miss you dearly. You were like a grandfather to me. You always had a smile and it was so contagious. So many people love you and will miss you. Rest In Peace.
