Lyle F. Mackey, age 84, a longtime resident of Lansdale, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Elm Terrace Gardens on Tuesday, June 12, 2018.
He was the beloved husband of 63 years of Lillian R. (nee. Farkas) Mackey. Born in Walthill, Nebraska, he was the son of the late Fred A. and Polly (nee. Archer) Mackey.
Mr. Mackey spent most of his life working as the Superintendent of a Manufacturing plant as well as being a Business Entrepreneur.
His interests included fishing, antique cars, and rooting for the Eagles and Phillies.
His greatest passion in life was his love and devotion to family. In addition to his wife he is survived by six loving sons: James L. of Telford, Donald W. and his wife Dana of Lansdale, Dennis W. and his wife Laura of West Chester, John R. and his wife Laura of Lansdale, Michael J. of Lansdale and Mark E. and his wife Pamela of Harleysville as well as 9 grandchildren: Renee, Evan, D.J., Michelle, Katie, Daisy, Emily, Brooke, and Blake.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 18, 2018 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446, where the family will greet friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in Church prior to Mass. Interment at a later date.
