Carole G. Lee, 76, of North Wales, died Saturday, July 7, 2018, at her home with her daughter and son by her side. Born in Bridgeton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Ellen (Crouthamel) Gassner.
Growing up she worked with her mother and Aunt Hazel at the Curly Top Ice Cream Shop on 309.
She was a member of the 1959 Class of North Penn High School and graduated from Temple University’s X-ray Technician Program.
Carole was talented and artistic and liked making crafts. She loved flowers and gardening and attended flower-arranging classes at Longwood Gardens. Her interest in antiques led to membership in Bayberry Questers where she held the office of President. After her employment as an X-ray technician, she owned Kinder Place in Spring House and later worked at Macy’s. Her last employment was with Del Ciotto Architects, Inc. She is survived by her daughter, Amy (Richard) of Michigan; son, Kevin (Telford), granddaughters, Abigail and Audrey to whom she was devoted, cousins Brenda Adams (William) of Alaska and Sandra Cramer (William) of Miquon. She is also survived by her grand dog, Heidi, and was predeceased by her last love, Annie, her standard poodle.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Monday, July 16, at Simcox-Mclvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main Street, Lansdale. Visitation hours will begin at 9:30 am prior to the service.
