Rita Domenica (Giovannone) Paul, born on October 15, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Antonio and Elvira Giovannone, passed away at age 84 on July 11, 2018.

She graduated from John W. Hallihan Catholic Girls High School in 1948. She retired an Administrative Assistant from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital but spent many years working in many family businesses. Rita was the loving wife of the late Lane G. Paul.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Giovannone and Alex Giovannone. Rita is survived by her sons, Edward L. Paul, Richard J. Paul, and Michael A. Paul;
daughters, Patrica A. Berkes and Susanne J. Paul; sister, Angela DiQuinzio; and grandchildren, David Paul, Laura Paul, Christopher Paul, Matthew Paul, William Paul, Stephen Paul, Timothy Paul, and Katie Berkes. She is also remembered for
her years as an organist at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in East Falls.

Friends and family can pay their respects at the visitation on Saturday, July 14 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Rd, Hatfield, Pennsylvania, 19440. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m.
