Charles T. Woods, better known as Chuck, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018.
Chuck was born in Philadelphia on March 8, 1946 to the late Edward and Emma (McIntyre) Woods. He grew up in Lansdale, PA. He attended and forever reminisced his grade school days at St. Stanislaus Catholic School as well as his years at Lansdale Catholic High School.
Chuck proudly served in the Pennsylvania National Guard and later attended St. Charles Seminary. His heart told him that children needed him and his years at St. Charles ended. He spent the remainder of his life being the proudest father of his 7 adopted children along with his 9 grandchildren.
Chuck worked extremely hard his entire life operating his own distributing business. He also coached many local sports teams and was a foster parent for 25 years.
Chuck’s brothers: John Patrick (Lucy), Edward (Diane), Gerald, and Philip along with his countless nieces and nephews and their children, his 7 children: Nicholas, Chera (Michael), Anthony (Amanda), Alina, Mathew, Catherine, Sophia and the 9 grandkids will miss him dearly!! Chuck will forever be remembered for his quick wit, constant jokes, love and dedication for his children, family and friends, his GPS memory before the google era, his work ethic, and his love/need for good, hot food. Go Birds!!
Chuck’s family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, located at 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 AM.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

To Chucks’s children and grandchildren,
May the memories you have of your Dad help you get through this difficult time and these wonderful times you spent with him sustain you.
Your Dad was a great member of our LC class of 1968 and was an active alumnus member in attending reunions, get-togethers, and picnics especially in the past few years.
For the short time we new Chuck we found him to be a warm family loving person. Chuck had a great sense of humor and was always ready to share a funny story from his past and about him family. We will surely miss you and our prayers are with you and your family.
My deepest sympathy is extended to Chuck’s immediate family, especially his children. Please know that you are all in my prayers. May the many fond memories you shared with him bring you solace.
I didn’t know Mr. Woods, I do know Chera. I had the honor to work with her at Montgomery Ele. school. You get to know a family , by the way their raise their children. Loving, caring, giving and respectful. In that alone you know Mr. Woods had a big hand in that. Kids learn from example. Mr. Woods is in gods hands now.
Chuck made the world a better place for so many. He was such a “good guy” across the board. I have vivid memories of his days as an alter boy at St Stan’s – one of the youngest and long lasting. No one could tell a “nun” story like he did. He made you feel proud for attending Catholic school. I know no other person who had the compassion for orphaned children, then Chuck. He did what many could only dream of doing, Thank you, Chuck.
Such a fantastic man. R.I.P. Chuck – heaven welcomes you.
Chuck was a good friend to so many, always taking the time to attend any alumni function or spend time with old friends. We will miss him so. Chuck had the burden of several chronic illnesses and the last few years presented many challenges that he bore courageously. God speed Chuck, rest in peace. The Corrigan Family
