Age 77 passed away on August 14th, 2018 at Peter Becker Community.
Jane was born on March 27, 1941, in Philadelphia, PA, the youngest child of Agnes (Rychlak) and Vincent Krzywicki. They lived on Duncan Street in Philadelphia. Her mother passed away in 1949 followed by her father in 1952. Jane then lived with her brother Walt for a short time before moving to live with her only sister Florence on Orthodox Street, where Jane attended Frankford HS, graduating in 1959. She worked various jobs from Nabisco (one day, she couldn’t handle the smell) to Sears. While at Sears someone gave her the tip that First Pennsylvania bank was hiring and told her she should go apply.
She did and obtained a job at the bank, where fate lead her to meet her husband, Charles (Bud), at the company Christmas party. He walked up to her and asked her to marry him. Without hesitation, she answered yes. Bud later explained that he promised himself, if he ever encountered a woman drinking a beer from a bottle, he’d ask her to marry him. Jane always said it was a good thing there were no glasses at that party otherwise we may never have met. Eventually, he did ask her to marry him. They married on September 24, 1966, at St John Cantius in Philadelphia. Soon after they welcomed three children into the family, 2 girls and a boy. The family moved from Philadelphia to Hatfield, in 1975 where they raised their family.
Jane stayed home to raise their children, during which time she volunteered in their elementary school library. As the children got older, Jane began to work full time at a Hallmark store in Montgomeryville. She enjoyed her coworkers and talking with the customers. After the card store closed, Jane returned to banking as a teller at Wachovia bank in Springhouse until she retired in 2006. After retiring, she spent her days alongside Bud helping to raise their grandchildren. Bud and Jane were married for 49 years 7 months and 19 days.
Jane is survived by her three children, daughters, Lisa Wright and husband Robert; Jennifer Morris and husband Gary; and son Michael and wife Laura, along with her six grandchildren Ethan, Sarah, Justin, Nathan, Shane, and Gannon.
Services are Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at St. Stanislaus Church in Lansdale. Receiving from 10:30-11:30 with the funeral mass to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in tribute at either the Primary Peritoneal Cancer Foundation (primaryperitonealcancer.org) or CHOP (give.chop.edu).
Jane was a passionate, warm, engaging person and was the true matriarch of her family. She had a unique ability to build relationships quickly and touched many people’s lives. She will be missed.
