Elizabeth Conville DeMarco Hamilton–8/26/2018

Elizabeth Conville DeMarco Hamilton, 56, of Lansdale (formerly of Philadelphia) has gone on to the next act. Liz—better known as Lizzie to her adoring husband and friends—left the main Earthly stage August 26th after a nearly decade-long and courageously fought battle with cancer.

She is survived by her twin daughters, Nicole and Samantha DeMarco, her husband, Jeffrey Hamilton, her brother, Thomas J. Conville III and his wife, Martha Loerke, and many beloved cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her inimitable mother, Nancy Newman Conville.

Liz was most at home on a beach (or “down the shore”) where she spent many happy summers full of laughter. She had a keen eye for design and was easily recognizable as the life of any party or social gathering. Her sense of humor was rivaled only by her vehement passion and advocacy for the fight against pediatric cancer, having participated in multiple fundraising efforts for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

She expressed immeasurable appreciation for her caregivers at Fox Chase Cancer Center, most especially Hossein Borghaei, DO, MS and Donna Edmondson, MSN, CRNP, AOCNP.

She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and uncompromising devotion to her loved ones—and during every game the Philadelphia Eagles play.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Stanislaus Church in Lansdale, PA. on September 13, 2018 at 11 am. Family and friends will be received prior to the Mass, beginning at 10 am. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

  1. Lizzie, you changed my life forever. The world feels emptier without your physical presence, but the echos of your laughter and the laughter you engendered in others will always be with me.
You will always be the Queen of my heart.

    Just until,
    Jeff

  2. Lizzie, you were the absolute light of my life.
