Lillian Scheetz–12/16/2018

Lillian Mary Scheetz, 86, of West Point Village, entered into rest surrounded by her family on December 16th, 2018 of natural causes.

Ms. Scheetz was born on December 19th, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to her late parents Nicholas and Vincenza Sigismondi. She graduated from West Catholic High School in 1949.

She resided in West Point Village from 1961 until her last days. During this time, she raised six children and worked full time at Mopac and North Penn Transfer trucking company. Later in years her passion for volunteer work shined with the VMSC and the Peak Center in Lansdale. She had a presence that could light up a room; she was witty, funny and a friend for life.

Surviving are a sister Irene Piechoski and 4 children: William Scheetz Jr. (Cynthia), Michael Scheetz, Linda Schuler (Mark), and Lillian Scheetz.  Also surviving are her daughter-in-law Kathleen Scheetz and 11 grandchildren: Laurie, Paul, Robert, Christine, Nicholas, Jason, Joseph, Justin, Leah, Ryan, and Sheena along with 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Carmela Jiulanti, her son Frederick Scheetz, her daughter Maureen Perilli, and her son-in-law Robert Perilli.

A celebration of Lillian’s life will take place on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Corpus Christi Church located at 900  Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale Pa 19446. The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the VMSC of Lansdale located at 175 Medical Campus Drive, Lansdale Pa 19446.

  1. I was shocked to see this on line. I’m very sorry for your loss. Lillian was beautiful both inside and out. Although we lost touch over the years I was always thinking about her and the good times we had together. Rest in Peace Lillian.

    Even though its been years i still remenber like it was yesterday always hanging and sleeping at your house and the fun i had their ,your mom so so so nice to me,she was my second mom! I feel very lucky and blessed to have had the chance to know her and get yelled at by her at times. God lnows we deserved it too ..lol..

  5. Although we did not know “Granny” well, it was easy to recognize her gracious and sweet spirit, even during two short visits. She was a beautiful lady, inside and out. Our deepest sympathies to Chrissy and her family.
