Antoinette M. (Rossi) Gehringer–1/16/2019

Antoinette M. (Rossi) Gehringer, age 75, of Hatfield, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019.

Born on November 12, 1943 in Lansdale, PA, she was a daughter of the late Rinaldo and Antoinette (Gunder) Rossi.  Antoinette (Toni) attended Saint Stanislaus Elementary School and Little Flower High School.

She worked at Bell Telephone Company but eventually joined her mother along with her sister at Toni Rossi Bridal Salon. Toni took great pride in making beautiful brides.

She donated countless hours to her children’s school running fundraisers and to her parish, bringing communion to the sick for many years. She spent a lifetime caring for others.

Toni enjoyed both cooking and baking, and sharing her creations with family and friends. She was adventurous and loved to travel. Toni was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to many.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, John, son Jack Gehringer and daughters Michele (Ed) Soltis and Antoinette (John) Leidy; 7 grandchildren: Tyler Leidy, Dontae Stewart, Sophia Leidy, James Soltis, Kaylee Corbi, Jacob Soltis and Jared Soltis. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Irene (Ron) Kita and Victoria (Victor) Bruzas and 1 brother, John (Jane) Rossi, 1 niece and 4 nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Rinald Rossi.

Friends and Relatives are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM Wednesday, January 23 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 424 S. Main Street, North Wales.  Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday evening, January 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home and Wednesday morning, January 23 from 10-11 at St. Rose of Lima, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with Toni’s example of always showing kindness to others, donations may be made to Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center www.ivyhillequestrian.org or the MS Society www.nationalmssociety.org

  4. So sorry to hear of Toni’s passing. She is now one of God’s angels in heaven… My husband and I will never forget the homemade sticky buns she brought over, piping hot, right from the oven. They were like no other we’ve had, and were amazing just as she was! I loved talking about the bridal salon and weddings. It must have been a dream job. Praying for her family and friends
