Yvonne Helen Hegyes

Yvonne Hegyes of Lansdale passed peacefully on January 26, 2019. She was born in Audenried, PA to parents Fred and Helen Hegyes (deceased) and later moved to McAdoo, PA where she resided until 2010. She worked for many years at Postie’s Beverage and Carmella Dress Company. She later was employed at Chromatex Fabric. Her talents as a seamstress were well-known throughout her community and among her family.

She most recently moved to Lansdale, and her final residence was at St. Mary’s Manor. She is survived by four sisters, Eleanor of Lansdale, Mary (John deceased) Scatton of Souderton, Joan (Paul) Kisatsky of Randolph, NJ, and Irene (John) Oskanian of Lansdale. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, who were the lights of her life.

Visitation will be held at 10:30am Friday, February 1, 2019 at St. Mary’s Manor, 701 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale,  immediately followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, also at St. Mary’s Manor.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary’s Manor and Ascend Hospice for their excellent care of Yvonne during her most recent illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Yvonne’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
