John F. Polito, age 74, died unexpectedly at Doylestown Hospital on Tuesday evening, March 12, 2019. Born on September 20, 1944 in Lansdale, he was the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (nee. Aufiere) Polito.
Mr. Polito was a graduate of Lansdale Catholic High School and a longtime employee of Merck Pharmaceuticals where he worked in Tech Support. He served his country honorably in the United States Army Reserves. His hobbies included, playing Golf, Horse Racing and going to the Casinos.
Mr. Polito was a lifelong parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
Surviving are 4 loving sisters; Betty Lou Polito of Hatfield, Rita M. Mellinger of Lansdale, Rosalie C. Lepo (Joseph) of Eagleville and Jane Ciccocelli (Anthony) of North Wales as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 10 AM to 11 AM, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446, which will be followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Prospectville.
In lieu of Flowers memorial contributions in John’s name may be sent to St. Stanislaus Church (address above).
