Margaret “Maggie” Mary Gebbie Ousey, age 63, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones, on March 30, 2019 due to complications from cancer at Abington Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was born April 5, 1955 in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania to Margaret and Harry Gebbie. She moved to Lansdale at a young age and considered the town her home.
Maggie loved the outdoors and was an avid fisher alongside her husband Tom. They spent many summer afternoons in their boat on Green Lane Reservoir. She also loved to read, a habit that she passed onto her children. Maggie enjoyed good food, good wine, and socializing with her friends and family. She had the ability to find humor in any situation and could brighten a room with her infectious laughter.
Maggie is survived by her husband Tom Ousey; brother and wife Fred and Mary Jo Gebbie, brother and wife Jerry and Mandy Gebbie, sister Trudy Gebbie, brother Tom Gebbie; her son Thomas John, and her son and fiancé Christopher and Christina; and many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
Please join us in celebrating her life Saturday morning April 6, 2019, between 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. at Saint Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Avenue, Lansdale, PA, 19446 with a mass to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
My thoughts and prayers for Maggie. May she find peace and happiness in Jesus’ care and may His love be a comfort to you, her family and friends.
Maggie & the folks at the service station took care of my Mom’s car for years. We all knew when Mom had something done at Gebbie’s- state inspection, oil change, that Mom knew it was done right. Maggie always made Mom feel safe in her car which in turn kept Mom driving. Helped my Mom stay independent. Helped me and my brothers & sister from worrying about Mom. Thank you, Maggie, for giving us all peace of mind. I hope your family will feel that peace. Thoughts and prayers for all. Joan Anne O’Brien LCHS ’73
My prayers are with you and your family at this time Tom. Bob Lynam

Tom, I’m so sorry about your sister, this is so sad. Sending you and your family love. –
I have loved you from Day 1, Maggie (4-11-81). And always will. You were my light, my happy “place,” and definitely my voice of reason. LOL I’ve shared more with you than any living soul – and you were always there for me no matter what; the sister I never had but always wanted. Can’t wait to laugh together again. WTF, Maggie. (you know I had to say it)
So very sorry for your loss, she was taken away much to soon, may she rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Bill and Pat Reca
I will not be able to attend the celebration of Maggie’s life this Saturday. However, my heart will be there with her Tom, children, family & friends. Her smile will always be remembered. God is lucky and Heaven is blessed. Colleen Gillies Peterson LCHS’73
As we all know, Maggie always flashed her beautiful smile, shared her infectious laughter and her joy for life … things that stood out so obviously in memories of our classmate. Prayers and thoughts continue for Maggie, Tom and her entire immediate and extended family. She will be missed by so many and we are blessed to have known her. Thank you, Jesus!
I miss you so much Maggie. Big fat hole in my heart.
