Evelyn T. Dehner–8/17/2019

Evelyn T. Dehner (nee McGeehan), born July 20, 1931, died surrounded by family on, Saturday, August 17, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her, husband Eugene Dehner, Sister Nancy, Brother John, and Grand Daughter Lori Dziedzic. Surviving are her, sister Peggy Delguidice, sister in law Mary McGeehan, beloved children, daughters Lyn Cavallaro (John )and  Anne Marie Yusko (Dan) and son John Dehner (Peg), grandchildren Andy Dziedzic (Susan), Chelsea, and Katie Dehner as well as grandchildren Bruce, Charlie and George Dziedzic.

Evelyn was a proud graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School in 1949. She was actively involved with the Lansdale Community for 53 years. She was the president of the Mother’s Club and was the chair of the summer festivals and penny auction at St. Stanislaus School for many years. Evelyn worked at Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell and Lupin and kept many of the friends she made there.

Between work and helping out at St. Stan’s Evelyn kept busy by being active in all types of family activities. She traveled to Ireland, Rome, Alaska, Switzerland, and many other places. One of her favorite destinations was Las Vegas. Not only did she travel all over she had the amazing ability to sit down with a stranger and make friends after a few minutes. Her contagious laughter and the funny stories involving her will never be forgotten.

Relatives and friends and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA., where the family will greet friends from 9:00 to 10:45 AM in Church prior to Mass. Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.

  1. We knew Evelyn from Greenfield Assisted Living and enjoyed seeing her friendly smile.
    She always greeted you with a compliment and that wonderful sense of humor.
    Evelyn will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
