James Joseph Land passed away on August 18, 2019, at the age of 81 surrounded by his family.
Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce and his three children: Andrea Healy (AJ), James J Land (Helene), and Samantha Land (Ted Hertz). He is also survived by his nine grandchildren: Ainsley, Sara, Kathryn, Jenna, Hope, Charlie, Sophia, William, and Tess.
Friends and family are invited to his Visitation on Saturday morning 9:30 am at Epiphany of our Lord Church, 3050 Walton Rd, Plymouth Meeting, PA followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
Jimmy was a graduate and longtime supporter of LaSalle College Highschool and LaSalle College. Jimmy was the CEO of Wissahickon Spring Water, a Philadelphia company founded by his father in 1926, and a former President of the International Bottled Water Association. Most importantly was his philanthropy; he was humbled by his good fortune and wanted to help those in need.
Over the years, Jimmy partnered with the Sisters of Mercy to provide safe drinking water for communities. Together, Jimmy and the Sisters of Mercy knew that access to good water would empower mothers to lead their families out of ultra poverty.
Jimmy led by example and therefore, in lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to:

I just learned of Jim’s passing this week. Jim was a customer of mine from 1983 thru 1993 while I was a Regional Sales Rep for Ligui Box Corp. My sales calls on Wissahickon Spring Water were my favorite of all. We’d always have a good laugh and loved to hear Jim’s stories. He always had time to seem me even on unannounced visits unless of course he was operating the fork lift in the warehouse. Rest in Peace Jim!
Dear Andy and family. Hannah Mae and I send our heartfelt prayers and hugs to you during this very sad time. May your father Rest In Peace. 🙏❤️

I have many great memories of Jimmy and his wife Joyce at their first house on Linley Ave. in Philadelphia. Those Friday night bridge games were memorable. Nobody had money to do any thing else. I painted the inside of the house ALL white before they moved in.
Rest in Pease Jimmy
