On Sunday, October 20, 2019, Antonio Luberto, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 81.
Antonio was born on September 12, 1938 in Naples, Italy to Gabriele and Annunziata Luberto. On October 26, 1963, he married Assunta Illiano. They were just a week shy of their 56th wedding anniversary.
They raised two sons, Gabriele and Alfonso, and one daughter, Nunzia. Antonio had a passion for soccer, especially for his hometown team, Napoli. His whole mood for the day was determined by his team’s win.
Antonio was a people greeter at the Hilltown Walmart for 18 years.
There’s nothing Antonio loved more than his family and a delicious plate of pasta cooked by his wife. Antonio is survived by his wife, Assunta, his three children, Gabriele, Alfonso, and Nunzia, his five brothers, Michele, Giuseppe, Biagio, Salvatore, and Giovanni, and his four grandchildren, Antonio, Stefania, Maryann, and Anthony. Antonio’s loving spirit and legacy will live on through his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday evening, October 24, 2019, from 5 to 8 PM, at the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St, Lansdale and again Friday morning, October 25, 2019 from 10 to 10:45 AM at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 1325 Upper State Rd, North Wales, followed by Antonio’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Hatboro.
Dear Aunt Susie and the Luberto family,
We extend sincere condolences as you all heal with time from the loss of a truly beautiful person. We missed seeing the two of you at the store as of late. It was with much grief to find after not seeing you in a long while yesterday, that Uncle Tony had passed away. Please know that we are praying for your strength.

God needed another Angel in Heaven and He called upon Antonio. You are now reunited with your loving parents: Gabriele and Annunziata. On Earth, you were a loving husband to Assunta, father to three children (Gabriele, Alfonso and Nunzia), grandfather to four lovely grandchildren (Antonio, Stefania, Maryann and Anthony) and above all a friend to everyone who met you. Antonio your loving memory will remain a keepsake in our minds and hearts forever. Although God has called you home and now has you in His keeping, we on earth shall keep you alive in our hearts. From the extended Iacono family, we extend our deepest sympathies to you and your family. God Bless. Amen.
It is with great sadness that we hear of Antonio’s passing. He is in our prayers and we send much love to his wonderful wife Assunta, his children and his brothers at this time. Un Abbraccio forte a tutti… Josie, Cornel e Linda
