Dolores “Susie” Weiger formerly of Lansdale, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 11th, 2020 at Hidden Meadows in Sellersville. She was 86 years old.
Susie was born February 1,1934 to the late John Derfler and late Edith (Lawrence) Derfler-Coull and raised in Norristown. Susie had 3 brothers, John Derfler, Donald “Ducky” Derfler, and Kenneth Coull; and 3 sisters, Beverly Ryan, Edith Guiliano, and Roseann Clower.
She was married to the late Charles “Chuck” Weiger on April 7, 1957. Susie and Chuck resided at their home in Lansdale for over 50 years together. They had a very long and happy marriage until Chuck passed away in August 2015. She was an excellent homemaker, sewer, gardener and cook.
Susie was known for her sense of humor, bright smile and infectious laughter. She was the life of any party. Susie was a lover of animals and took tremendous care of the many dogs and cats she had throughout her life. She was a devoted wife, caring sister and loving Aunt and Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Susie is survived by her brothers, John and Kenneth; sisters, Beverly, Edith, and Roseann; and countless nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Family and friends are welcome to viewing (10-11AM) and service (11 AM) held on Tuesday, February 18at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home (532 East Main Street, Lansdale, PA), with a burial to follow at St. John Neuman Cemetery (3797 County Lind Road, Chalfont, PA).
