Kathleen M. Constabel–6/9/2020

Kathleen M. Constabel (Micki), 82, of North Wales, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at St. Mary’s Manor in Lansdale. She was the wife of the late David M. Constabel who passed away in 2017. David and Micki were married on November 17, 1957 at Father Murphy Hall in North Wales. They were married for 59 years. Micky was born in Roxborough, Pennsylvania on September 27, 1937 to the late John Wall Sr. and Kathryn (Craighead) Wall.

Micki loved books, poetry, and crossword puzzles. She was eager to discuss books and meaning of poems by her favorites Robert Frost and Dylan Thomas. She was a dedicated employee at the Lansdale Medical Group and Foulkeways Retirement Community in Gwynedd before her retirement. She enjoyed gardening in her yard. She is survived by her children, Lisa Frankel, Laurie Olivieri and her husband Jim, Meg Constable; her grandchildren, Mia and her husband Zach Prehn, Amanda, and Max Frankel, Madeline, Declan and Peighton Clugston. She is survived by her beloved sisters. Ann Hooley of Texas and Rita Pietrangelo of Telford.

Micki was preceded in death by her beloved brother John V Wall Jr. and her sister Peggy Nuss.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Micki’s Funeral Mass on, Monday, June 15 at 10:30 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, where the family will receive friends after 9:30 AM prior to Mass.  All state guidelines concerning social distancing and the wearing of face masks will be observed.  Thank you for your understanding during these difficult times.

The burial service will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

Micki will be buried with her beloved husband David, who was honorably discharged from the US Army, with the rank of Corporal. He was on active duty from 2/12/53 to 2/16/55 and was stationed in Darmstadt, Germany. Mr. Constabel was a member of the 816th Field Artillery Unit, where he was awarded a good conduct medal. He served in the Army reserve through 1961.

  1. Aunt Micki, you were my first hero. I was the little cousin who always admired your quick wit, and the way you always made me laugh. You never laughed at people, but instead gave them a reason to laugh with you. I always believed that was a great gift. I will cherish those memories with love.
