Ann T. Masiak—7/19/2020

Ann T. (Anna) Masiak (nee Bednar), 91, residing at Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale, Pa., died peacefully in the Skilled Nursing Facility on Sunday, July 19, 2020.

She was born on July 19, 1929 in Shamokin, Northumberland County, Pa. to Andrew Stephen and Anna Mary (Buckwash) Bednar. She attended St. Mary’s Elementary School and graduated from Coal Township High School in Shamokin. In 1952, she married Stanley Joseph Masiak, also of Shamokin. For many years, they resided in Graterford, Pa., where she was employed by the Collegeville Flag Co.

She is survived by her three children, Dr. David (Mary Judith) of Lower Gwynedd, James (Sandra) of Wilmington, DE and Joseph (Connie) of Broomfield, CO. She is also survived by three grandchildren James, Jennifer (Yanczak) and Jeffrey. She was the proud great-grandmother of Emily and Olivia Yanczak, as well as Sean, Catherine and Jude Masiak. She has one surviving brother, Raymond Bednar of Shamokin.

She is predeceased by her husband Stanley, brothers Andrew and Joseph Bednar and grandson Jonathan Masiak.

Funeral services are planned at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., in Lansdale on Saturday, July 25, 2020. A brief Visitation is planned at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Arrangements are through Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home of Lansdale, Pa. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the John M. Fisher Endowment Fund at Elm Terrace Gardens, 660 N. Broad St., Lansdale, Pa. 19446.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the residents and staff at Elm Terrace Gardens, who extended their friendship and care to Anna over the last 13 years.
