My heart is heavy with sadness with the passing of my dear friend, Helen. We were original and volunteer members of Gildas Club Cancer Support Community in Warminster. Not only was she able to succeed in teaching me to knit through constant laughter and conversation, but her encouragement, spiritual guidance, and genuine concern for others dealing with cancer was so uplifting and admired while even going through her own cancer trials. I loved being around her. The hysterically funny emails she shared reminded me of those days at Gildas.
I’m so thankful to God that He brought Helen into my life as others just at the right time. I continue to knit, but now with greater meaning in honor of one who took the time and patience to make a difference in my life.
Praying for the family,
“B” (Barbara Lancaster)
