Nelda Jean Fluck of Lansdale passed peacefully from this world into her home in Heaven on the evening of August 26, 2020 from a sudden illness. Nelda was simply unforgettable. She was 91 years young and she thrived on standing by the side of every acquaintance, every friend, and every family member. Her commitment to others and to their happiness was genuine.
Born on July 4, 1929 she came out of the Great Depression, a fresh breath of air since her childhood. She involved herself in virtually everything that she could find. She loved art, fashion design, sewing, reading, dancing; she was ahead of the curve of homeopathic diet and health treatments such as making her own yogurt in 1959 and learning the science of foot reflexology. It was commonplace to be in her presence on holidays and receive a foot treatment.
Her many passions in her life were only exceeded by her love for her family.
Nelda was not an easy person to talk out of a relationship with anyone – family or friends. She believed that all people had good inside of them and she actually found that good and helped it to grow. Unforgettable.
She is survived by her two children, Kathy Slack (Tim), and William Fluck. Her grandchildren are Mindy McGrath (David), the late Brett Sauers, Tracey Smith (Bob), and Jill Quagliariello (John). She very proudly loved and knew well five great grandsons, Jameson and Payton McGrath, Robert Smith, John and Matthew Quagliariello. Nelda also had a great great grandson, Elliott Smith whom she loved. She lived an active life with all in her family. Unforgettable.
Nelda was the daughter of Joseph Bishop (Betty) and Kathryn Arnold (Frank). She was the wife of William Fluck who passed into eternity in 2007. She was a life member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lansdale. Her graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 1 at 11:00 am and friends may join the family in Green Lawn Cemetery on Sumneytown Pike, North Wales at that time. Masking is required to attend her services.
Too many great memories from my youth until the present to mention. A giving and always classy lady. Rest In Peace Nelda Jean
