John Leonard Hauck Sr. (Lenny), age 79, of Lansdale died on November 20th, 2020 at 1760 Old Morris Road in Harleysville, PA, where he lived since 1977.
Born in Lansdale in 1940, he is the son of the late Mary Jean Fabiano and Harry Hauck, and sibling to the late Carol Scott and James Hauck. Married to Helen Irene Wesner in Lansdale for over 65 years.
John started his own business in 1959 and later became the proud owner of local Hauck’s Garage in 1977, which is still family owned & operated to this day. A business at which he worked for over 60 years and was named the winner of Lansdale’s monthly business award on multiple occasions. He loved his work, and his family.
John is survived by his wife, Helen Hauck, and 5 children. Son, John L. Hauck Jr. (married to Bonnie Hauck) son, Thomas M. Hauck, son, Gary L. Hauck (married to Janet Hauck), daughter, Victoria S. Truesdell (married to Kenneth Truesdell) and daughter, Diane C. Papp (married to Atilla Papp), along with 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, November 28, 2020, from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446. His Funeral and Mass will be immediately following at 10:30 AM. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery. All state guidelines concerning social distancing and the wearing of face masks will be observed.
I am so sorry to hear of Lenny’s passing. I would have paid my respects. I still miss our monthly conversations when Mary Jean was at St. Mary’s. He was always the highlight of the month! He was a gentle giant and will forever remember his hearty laugh. He has taken care of my family cars for years and when he wasn’t able to- his son’s have stepped in. Rest peacefully Len.
