Early in his career, he worked at Film Corporation of America, IBM, and Price Waterhouse. He then went on to start his own company selling customized telecommunication wire.
He was a dedicated father of seven children and would proudly tell you all of them had college degrees. He encouraged and supported his wife while she pursued higher education. He was an avid Eagles fan and loved watching Villanova basketball with his children and grandchildren.
He was a man of strong Catholic faith and held a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother. His kindness and generosity extended beyond his family and he will be forever missed.

I just found out about this, Joe was a big part of my life. My family and I had a restaurant in Lansdale, Pa. Joe was an everyday customer. I knew this man from age 12 to 27 when our restaurant business sadly closed, but Joe brought a certain kind of light to the counter everyday where he would do crossword puzzles, and drink his coffee, but one thing he was really good at is busting someone’s shoe. He would get JJ Jonny Johnson, another great Customer. Joe just always knew what buttons to push,to get some kind of controversy going. He will always will be missed. PS: He even had me over to his shore house in Avalon NJ on Dune Drive. Miss you, Joe
Sorry to hear about this. I have lived on the same street as Joe for the last 13 years. Back when he was still driving he would always stop to say hi when I was out walking my dog. A quick hello usually lasted 5-10 minutes. He was the epitome of neighborly. He will be missed.
Sending love and prayers to Bridget and the entire Cullen Family. Xoxo
My thoughts and prayers are with the Cullen family at this time. Stay strong and well. Joe Volk, State Committee Member
Joe was the heart of his family. No one had to question his love, it was apparent to all! He will be missed.
I have many great memories of Joe, I remember when he married Pat. He was bigger than life, with a bigger heart. My sympathy goes out to the Cullen family.
Joe got me my 1st job back in 1967, when I was in High School.
He will be missed..

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Cullen around 1994 and knowing him is to love him. He was ‘Big’ in so many ways whether it was his voice, stature, teasing or hugs. I enjoyed many a conversation with him and he gave me great advice whether I wanted it or not! A wonderful man who will be sorely missed by those lucky enough to have known him. God bless you Big Joe!
He will be forever missed,
Mary Jane
