Laura C. Buehrle—1/7/2021

Laura C. (Street) Buehrle passed away peacefully on January 7, 2021 in the continued company of her loving family. A lifelong resident of North Wales PA, she was born on February 14, 1932, daughter of David and Frances (Boiselle) Street. She is survived by four daughters, Linda (Robert Pacheco) Jacksonville, FL, Laura (Robert) Miracle of Perkasie PA, Mary (Paul) Mamzic of Lower Salford PA and Theresa (Sean) Hogan of Lansdale, PA and was preceded in death by her husband Walter, brother Pete, son Michael, and Grandsons David MacMullen and Sean Buehrle.

Laura was a longtime member of St. Rose of Lima Church, where she married Walter on September 13, 1952 in the old Father Murphy Hall. The church at St. Rose would host Laura many times, for her highest joys and deepest sorrows, and remained a constant source of peace for her. During her time with us, Laura was able to witness four generations of children; raising many as her own, and a caretaker to all. Her former residence at 337 Shearer St. in North Wales, situated across the street from Wee Walers Park, was the central gathering area for each generation; hosting over 50 years of smiles, laughter, shouting, hugs, scrapes and bruises, while being a constant supply of revenue for generations of ice cream truck drivers. Her Thursday night dinners were a mainstay of the family, requiring no less than three tables to seat all of the guests, and became a proving ground for all potential applicants to the family. She hosted the children of North Wales for decades, and the sound of her screen door slamming was a constant that will echo in all of our minds.

In her later years, Laura would rekindle her love of art, and enjoyed sharing it with her Great and Great- Great grandchildren; leaving a legacy of canvases, birdhouses and Christmas ornaments that will carry her story well beyond our own years. She leaves this world as a loved and accomplished matriarch, and will continue to challenge us beyond her days to love and care for one another selflessly and without judgement. Her presence is missed but will never be gone, and her eternal peace is well deserved.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Laura’s name to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org/donate/

  1. We are so glad to have known you and will miss you Mrs. Buehrle, but you live on in spirit in your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

  2. Gonna miss you mom! Thank you for all the support and being their for me when I lost my mom 30 years ago. The times we spent together were precious to me and I will keep them close to my heart. You lived a full life that’s for sure. And through the ups and downs you persevered. God has an amazing place in heaven especially for you, you deserve nothing but the best. And oh what a family reunion you’ll have. I love you and God Bless… your favorite child, Donna🤍x
