Martin Kenneth Lorenz, age 73, passed away on February 27, 2021, after a lengthy illness. Martin was born on August 29, 1947, in Chicago Illinois, and was the son of the late Arthur Charles Lorenz and Mary Katherine (Morgan) Lorenz. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Lorenz, his sister, Mary (Lorenz) Compton, and his brother-in-law Raymond Compton.

Martin attended Saint Marie Goretti Parochial School in Hatfield, PA. He also was a founding member of the Saint Marie Goretti Parish in Hatfield, PA and attended Mass there his entire life.

Martin worked in various jobs throughout his life including working as a warehouse employee at the former Rosenberger Dairy in Hatfield, PA.

Martin’s favorite passions were space, he would spend nights in his youth looking through his telescope studying the stars and planets. He also enjoyed weather, he attended a course years ago at the Montgomery County fire academy where he learned to be a severe weather watcher and loved to watch the Weather channel on TV. In his youth he also enjoyed model railroading and model building with his brother Michael and they both had large railroad layouts in the basement of their home in Hatfield.

Martin moved to Hatfield, PA from Chicago, Illinois, and spent his whole life living in the same home until his death.

Martin is survived by his sister Eileen Bureau, sister Kathleen Burns (Larry), 2 Nieces, 4 Nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

Martin will be laid to rest at the Catholic Cemetery at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lansdale, PA next to his Mother and Brother in a private family service.
