Joseph Walter Molasky–4/7/2021

Joseph Walter Molasky, 86, of Lansdale, died Wednesday April 7, 2021 from complications from a lung infection. He was the spouse of Eleanor Wassel Molasky with whom he had four children.

Born on Thanksgiving Day in Olyphant, Pa., in 1934 he was the only child to Joseph and Katherine Molasky. From an early age, Joseph was taught the value of hard work, his mother always finding ways for him to keep busy and help out the family, a work ethic he maintained throughout his life. Joseph attended St. Michaels Parochial Grade School in Olyphant, Pa., graduated from Olyphant High School in 1952, then attended the University of Scranton and Georgetown Law School. After graduation from Georgetown Law, Joseph worked for Merck Pharmaceuticals in West Point, Pa., for 18 years, then opened his own intellectual property law practice in Chalfont, Pa., that he maintained for the next 40 years.

Joseph was an avid baseball fan. He coached both of his son’s teams when they were younger and cherished his beloved Boston Red Sox. He loved traveling and doing the daily crossword with a glass of wine. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

He is survived by Eleanor, his daughter Mary, and his two sons Joseph and Stephen as well as his daughter-in-law Monica and two grandchildren Flynn and Everett who reside in Los Angeles. He is preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Christine Molasky who died in 2014.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joseph’s Funeral Mass on Wednesday April 14, 2021 at 12:30 pm at The National Shrine to Our Lady of Czestochowa at 654 Ferry Road, in Doylestown, Pa. 18901. Prior to the Mass visitation will be held at Simcox-Mcilvaine Funeral Home, from 9:00 to 11:00 am at 532 Main Street, Lansdale, PA. Interment will be at Czestochowa Cemetery.

  1. I am sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. He was my patent attorney many years ago, and always a good neighbor and good friend. He will be missed. I am sorry I missed the services. Joe lives across the street from my office and I noticed I have not seen him out in his yard as he usually is this time of year. I did a little research and just learned of his passing this afternoon. Peace and blessings to the family as you navigate your loss.
