Margaret A. Hostetler—4/23/2021

Margaret (Margie) A. Hostetler, of Warminster, Pa., peacefully passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021, at the age of 85.

Margie was the beloved wife of Paul Hostetler for 62 years. She was born and raised in Johnstown, Pa., where she was one of Steven and Shirley Kokoruda’s fifteen children. The family enjoyed listening to her many stories of living at home and growing up with all her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Paul, and sons, Brian Paul of Landsdale, Pa., and Douglas Wayne (and wife Eileen) of Strasburg, Pa., and grandchildren Jacob, Joshua, and Margaret and sister Georgia Pennington of Johnstown, Pa.

Margie spent most of her working life at Warminster General Hospital as laboratory secretary. She enjoyed the many decades of annual reunions with her brothers, sisters, and extended family, which grew to become a highlight of her year.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and could hardly wait for their visits and sleep overs. They spent countless hours together, playing in the living room or the backyard where Margie (grandma) was always willing to encourage their imaginations and create an environment of love and support.

She enjoyed dinners at the Red Lion Diner and shopping at the local stores, especially her frequent trips to Kmart (so much so that it became known as Kmarge to the family), which would later transition to at home shopping on QVC.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Salvation Army who provided incredibly meaningful support to Margie and her family through leaner years. Margie often said that it was thanks to the Salvation Army that she was able to celebrate holidays as a young girl.

Due to pandemic restrictions, a memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
