Pauline Sabia was born on September 24, 1926, to Josephine and Gaspare Ferrara in Nesquhoning, Pennsylvania. She was one of six children. She was preceded in death by brothers Vincent James Ferrara, Reverend Joseph Ferrara, James Ferrara, and sister Rosemary Centobene. She is survived by her sister, Anne Theresa Green.
Pauline was the beloved wife of John M. Sabia for 54 years prior to his passing on July 11, 2018. She is survived by daughters Lisa Sweeney and Paula Hazard and sons-in-law Christopher Sweeney and Gary Hazard. Her six grandchildren, Brenna, Sean, Matthew, Daniel, Patrick and Sarah, meant the world to her.
Prior to marrying John, Pauline attended the University of Pennsylvania in an associate degree program to become a Laboratory Technician. Her career included working in hospitals in Philadelphia and Bucks County. But her most important and beloved job was as a wife and mother, and she took great pride in her family.
Pauline always had kind words for others and could strike up conversations with complete strangers. She had a way about her that made everyone feel comfortable and included. She loved to tell stories about her childhood, growing up, and especially about the nuns who supervised her in her first job at the Good Samaritan Hospital. The people who worked at her nursing home in Lansdale used to say they loved Miss Pauline’s stories.
Pauline was a devout Catholic whose faith shaped her life and everything she did. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Parish and attended daily Mass with her husband until they both became too ill to do so. She touched many people’s lives in her 94 years, and she will be greatly missed.
The family will be receiving guests on June 19, 2021, from 9:30-10:20 am, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446. There will be by a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.

I will miss you, pauline. I will miss our long phone conversatiions about our husbands, brothers, who were so much alike.Rest in peace dear sweet lady.
My sister, Pauline, & I were not just sisters. I was several years younger than Pauline. Thus, she became my “go to person” for anything troubling me. I always loved her & will miss her forever. She was intelligent, having graduated salutatorian of her high school class. Rest I peace, Pauline, until we meet again. AT
