Mary (Pestrock) Hedash, 93, of Lansdale, Pa., died peacefully at home on Friday, August 6, 2021.
She was born November 22, 1927, in Lansford, Pa, to Andrew and Mary (Romanick) Pestrock. She was predeceased by all her siblings: Anna, Nicholas, John, Helen (McCullian), and Eva.
She graduated from Lansford High School and married Thomas J. Hedash on May 24, 1952. Thomas died January 22, 1998. They were married 46 years and had two children, Thomas (Kathy) and David (Diane).
She was the beloved grandmother (Babi) of Mark, Amanda Fucinari (Anthony), Alex, Andy and Kara. She was the great grandmother of Olivia, Gianna, and Dominic Fucinari. She enjoyed a special friendship with neighbors, Betty and her son Alan.
Mary was a homemaker and secretary for Tupperware. She loved shopping with her sister Helen and going to the casinos in Atlantic City. She enjoyed car rides and trips to amusement parks with her grandchildren. She loved solving word search puzzles and watching the game show network and Wheel of Fortune. She also enjoyed sitting outside and watching birds and other wildlife.
Special thanks to Abington Jefferson Hospice Team and her caregiver, Leticia, who was a blessing to the family, and her daughter in-law Diane, for all the years of caring for and keeping her comfortable. We are also grateful for the wonderful relationship she had with her daughter-in-law’s mother, Dolores Brown..
Her Funeral Mass will at 11 am, Friday, August 13, 2021, at Presentation of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1564 Allentown Rd, Lansdale, Pa. 19446, with viewing and visitation preceding, beginning at 10 am. Burial at St. John Neumannn Cemetery, Chalfont, Pa. Luncheon will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Presentation of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church (address above) or the Veterans Association.
