  1. My sincere sympathy to all in Ruth’s family. I first met Ruth when I worked at the Villa of Divine Providence in Lansdale. I was one of the 11-7 registered nurses who worked there. She was such a pleasant person, a good nurse and very devoted to caring for the patients. She graciously invited myself and another RN to a most enjoyable lunch at her home. She spoke so lovingly of her husband and children. Her concern for the patients was commendable. Having worked at the Villa longer than myself and during the day shift, she knew the personal and medical history of the patients so well. Most of the patients were from the Ukraine and Poland areas. Ruth’s understanding of their language was such an asset and she would teach us some words which we could use in our interaction with those patients. My own grandmother was eventually a patient at the Villa and Ruth was with her the day she passed away, which was so comforting to know. It was such a privilege knowing Ruth and working with her. May she rest in peace.
