Kathleen M. Kane (nee McDermody) 
March 30, 1937 – March 13, 2022

Kathleen (Kathy) Kane, 84, of North Wales passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Dock Woods. She was the loving wife of Gerald Kane for 61 years.

Kathy was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 30, 1937. She was the daughter of Ronald and Ella McDermody and sister of Geraldine McDermody. Kathy attended Little Flower High School and then Fitzgerald Hospital Nursing School where she received her RN degree.

Kathy enjoyed using her nursing skills whether at a hospital, doctor’s office, nursing home or caring for the neighborhood children. She loved travelling with her husband and annual ski trips with her family.

She is survived by her husband Jerry, children Denise (Larry), Steve and Brian (Marianne), and her grandchildren Kimberly, Ryan and Devin.

A Memorial Service will be held at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, 19446 on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Kathy’s family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home, prior to the Service.  Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham.
