Marie M. Ferretti—5/1/2022

Marie M. Ferretti, 76, passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on May 1, 2022.  Born on February 24, 1946 in Philadelphia, Marie was the daughter of George and Marie (Rawling) Oates.  She is proceeded in death by her husband, Richard Ferretti, and parents.

Marie attended John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia.  After high school, she began her clerical career at Smith, Kline and French.  She married Richard, her high school sweetheart, on May 13, 1967.  Shortly after starting their family, they moved to Upper Gwynedd where she lived until 1997 when she moved to Franconia Township.  After raising her family, she returned to working in various clerical positions for Darnell Corporation, Prudential Insurance, Safeguard Business Systems and Hatfield Police Department.  She retired in 1998.

Marie volunteered with the Mother’s Club at St. Stanislaus School, where her children attended elementary school.  She enjoyed cheering on her children and grandchildren attending many sporting events over the years.  She was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. She loved to travel and spoke often of her trips to Hawaii and the Caribbean. And especially loved spending time with her family at the Jersey Shore and in Florida.

Marie is survived by her sister, Patricia (Frank Owens), three children; Eric (Denise), Dana (Jeffrey Taylor) and Nicole (John Umphred); 7 grandchildren; Nicholas, Tyler (Abigail), Jake, Brooke, Luca, Nico and Rachel, her longtime companion, Robert Snyder along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 7th at 12:30 pm at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Avenue, Lansdale, PA.  Funeral Mass will follow beginning at 2 pm. Interment private.

  5. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to Marie’s family, Bobby and her many friends. Marie was such a “Lady” and working next to her made my day. She loved her family and we exchanged many humorous tales of our loved ones. May you find comfort in knowing she will be missed by those of us who also loved and admired her.

  7. So saddened to hear of Marie’s passing. We were high school classmates and neighbors in Roxborough. She was such a gentle person and a beautiful lady. I will miss seeing her posts on FB. I pray she is at peace and surrounded by angels.
