Alice Marie Tarlecki (nee Sherdon) of Telford, formerly of Lansdale, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 6, 2022. She was 95 years old.
Born March 04, 1927 in Lansdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (nee McCann) Sherdon and the beloved partner of the late Vincent James Belmont.
Mrs. Alice Marie Tarlecki is survived by her son; Frank Tarlecki and his wife Elizabeth, son in law Russel Stevenson and six grandchildren; Nicole (Roy) Francis, Francis (David) Tarlecki, Shannon (Russel) Elia, Charles (Megan) Tarlecki, Julie Stevenson and James Stevenson as well as four great grandchildren Cole Francis, Wyatt Francis, Russel Elia, and Ryley Elia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her favorite nephew being Ralph Alcott.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Alice Marie “Ali” Stevenson (nee Tarlecki) her sister Elizabeth (Walter) Alcott, brothers Ralph Sherdon and Herman Sherdon (who lost their lives fighting for our freedom in World War II), Albert Sherdon, Clarence Sherdon, nephews James Schrader, Joel Alcott, niece Dolores Schrader and great niece Yvonne Scheiner.
Alice was a graduate of Hatfield Joint High School class of 1945 and a graduated of Ursinus College. She attended the Lansdale School of Business receiving an associate degree in accounting.
Alice worked for over forty years at Merck Sharp & Dohme and was employed in the purchasing department when she retired.
Alice was a long-time member of Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church and was best known for her whit, humor, generosity, and deep-rooted love of the Catholic faith and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She had a deep love for her family and friends.
In her early years, she loved traveling and she ventured as far as Europe, South America, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii and Africa. Alice also loved vacationing with her son’s family and grandchildren. She loved being involved in all her grandchildren’s lives teaching them many life lessons she learned from the Great Depression years.
Relatives and friends are invited to Mrs. Alice Marie Tarlecki’s Life Celebration service on Friday September 16, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave. Lansdale, PA 19446. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated directly after visitation at 10:30 AM at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church. Interment will be at Whitemarsh Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Alice Marie Tarlecki’s name can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
