Leland “Lee” James Albrecht—9/17/2022

On September 17, 2022, Lee Albrecht passed away at home in Lansdale, PA, surrounded by his family.  He was 77 years old.

Lee was born on September 11, 1945, to Dr. Joseph Albrecht and Cassie Griffin Albrecht. He attended Kemper Military School (class of 1963) and served in the US Army from 1967-1970. One year of his military service was spent in Korea where he discovered his love of traveling.

He achieved his first college degree from Lake Erie College and started his career as an engineer. Lee also received an additional degree from Boston University in Theological studies.

In 2011 Lee retired from Waters Equipment after a fulfilling career.

He had the traveling bug most of his life and loved meeting new people. Some of Lee’s other passions were playing golf, watching golf and relaxing by the ocean. Lee is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Kathy Albrecht; Daughter/Son in Law Kelly and Mike Polito; son Lam Nguyen; grandchildren Daulton Polito, Alyssa Taylor and Kaitlynn Han Vo; great grandchildren Dustin Polito, Sinta Scribner, Aurora Polito and Alayah Taylor and numerous close cousins.

The family is having a private celebration of life at his request and in lieu of flowers requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in his memory.

  1. Dear family, we were saddened to learn of Lee’s passing. I remember that little MG he had years ago , always a fun ride! He will be missed by us. Fondly, Debbie, Julie, Mike, Wilmont, Greg and the rest.

  2. Theological studies?! Now that is a man I would’ve loved to conversed with and hear his stories!
So sorry for your loss Kelly. I am thankful he is without pain and I’m sure he’s dancing in the sky.
I’ll keep you in my thoughts and pray for acceptance, guidance, and peace within your soul. I’m here for you. All of us are. <3

  3. Miss Kelly,

My condolences to you and the family. I know this is a very tough time. But reading ur fathers bio makes me believe he did not waste much time in his life and lived a very fulfilled one. I know he was suffering and he deserves this peace now.

    Kevin
