Florence Jean Gallo (Flossie) of Lansdale, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at age 90 on Friday, November 25, 2022 in Warrington, Pennsylvania.
Florence was born on August 10, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA. She was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Rosina Pescrilli. She enjoyed having family over for Sunday dinners. She always welcomed family into her home and loved spending time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She also enjoyed working in the garden and feeding the birds , deer or any other animal that may wonder into her yard.
Florence graduated high school and worked as a soda jerk at the Woolworth’s Department Store in Philadelphia where she met her late husband Robert P. Gallo. They eloped and were married on February 2, 1951 for 61 years until he passed in 2012.
Florence was the youngest of 10 children, two brothers (late) Daniel and Michael and 7 sisters (late) Rosie, Connie, Annie, Mary and Jenny and two surviving sisters Josephine Zellers and Rita Vizza. She is also survived by her three daughters: Diane McElhinney, Jane Weed, Susanne LaRocca and her husband Michael. She is also survived by her six Grandchildren: Faith Vakil (Kunal), Mary Kate McElhinney, Jillian Byers (Tom), Brandon Racik, Michael LaRocca, Jr. and Sophia LaRocca, her two Great Grandchildren: Raina and Milind Vakil, and her sister-in-law Josephine Preston. Florence is also survived by a countless number of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Florence’s Funeral Mass on Friday morning, December 2, 2022 at 10:30 AM, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446, where the family will receive friends in Church, prior to Mass beginning at 9 AM. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.

Flossie was a great Mom and Mee Maw. She loved her children, grandchildren and family very much.
She made many personal sacrifices throughout her life, all for the benefit of her family’s needs.
She is greatly loved, and of Blessed Memory.
Very lovely and friendly person I came to know over the years. May her soul RIP.
