Permanent Deacon John J. Campbell—11/25/2022

John J. Campbell, age 89, of Normandy Farms in Blue Bell, formerly of North Wales, PA., died peacefully on November 25, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife Maureen (nee. Cashman) Campbell in November of 2013.

Born  and raised in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John and Ellen (nee. Blong) Campbell.  Went to North Catholic High School in Philadelphia.  Attended college at St. Joseph’s University & Temple University.  John worked in Quality Control at Merck and Company for 32 years.  He served his country honorably with the US Army from 1959 to 1962.  

John was ordained a Catholic Deacon on June 6, 1999 and served St. Rose Parish for many years and later Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Parish.  

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Camenzind. Surviving are his brother Michael Campbell and his wife June, his sister Clare Madden and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on, Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 428 S. Main St, North Wales, PA 19454, where his family will receive friends and clergy beginning at 10 AM, prior to Mass.  Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.

  1. Hi John, So sorry that I could not say good-bye. June and Mike are now trying to cheat me out of my inheritance. The money does not matter to me but dishonesty does. RIP. I shall see you in heaven.
