Anthony Joseph Wydan—12/18/2022

Anthony Joseph Wydan (Tony or Dziadziu), age 88, of Lansdale, Pa., died December 18, 2022.  

He was born February 8, 1934, in Mount Carmel, Pa. to parents, Anthony E. Wydan and Bertha Lisiewski Wydan. He had a half brother Walter Waleski.  

He attended Mount Carmel High School and LaSalle College. 

On April 4, 1959, he was married to Mary “Mae” Scheuren Wydan in St. Joseph’s Church, Girardville, Pa. 

He was a veteran of the United States Army, earning the rank of First Lieutenant. 

Mr. Wydan worked in the pharmaceutical industry at Merck Sharp & Dohme in quality control. 

He was a devoted fan of his children and grandchildren’s sports activities. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, daughter Mary Ellen Wydan of Lansdale and son Anthony George “Tony” Wydan and his wife Theresa Falco Wydan of Maple Glen. 

He is also survived by five grandchildren, Anthony Joseph Wydan of Philadelphia, Elizabeth Wydan Capece (Jonathan) of Royersford, Pa., Maeve Ellen Wydan of Lansdale, James Wydan and John Wydan, both of Maple Glen, and nieces Deborah McCormick of Harleysville, Pa., and Karen Bush of North Wales, Pa. 

He is predeceased by his half brother, Walter Waleski and sister-in-law Claire Scheuren Bailey. 

Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 10:30 am, Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446. Visitation precedes the service beginning at 9 Am. Interment at St. John Neumann Cemetery.
