Joseph John Michalik of Lansdale, Pa., passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Grand View Hospital. Joseph would have celebrated his 95th birthday on Valentines Day, February 14, 2023.
Joseph was born in Shenandoah, Pa., son of Paul and Agnes Michalik. He was the last surviving child of 7 siblings. After graduation from high school in 1946 Joseph joined the Army Air Force. He was a WWII veteran.
Joseph was married to Dolores Kowalsky in 1951. They moved to Chicago, Ill., where they raised their family. They moved back to Pennsylvania in 1970 and resided in Lansdale since then.
A millwright by trade, Joseph retired from Jet Pastica of Hatfield in 1992. Joseph enjoyed all sports, especially golf. He was an active member of the Sellersville Moose Golf League and played in the league well into his 90s. He also treasured his membership in the Hatfield American Legion.
Joseph is preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years who passed away just one month ago. They are now together again in heaven.
Joseph is survived by sons Gary (wife Kathryn) of Lansdale, and Mark (wife Barbara) of Barto Pa., grandson Matthew (wife Dana), granddaughter Diane, and great grandsons Miles and Bowen Michalik.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Stanislaus Church on Monday, February 6, 2023. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM-10;30AM followed by Mass at 10:30AM. Interment will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Washington Crossing Military Cemetery.
