James D. O’Herrick—2/10/2023

James D. O’Herrick, age 90, a longtime resident of Lansdale, died peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2023, surrounded by his family.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Eunice (nee. Holtzman) O’Herrick, who died on May 23rd of 2018.

Born on October 16, 1932, in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Dominic and Anastasia (nee. Barron) O’Herrick.

He served his country honorably with the United States Army, during the Korean War.
Mr. O’Herrick worked as an Electrician for Merck Pharmaceuticals until his retirement. He was a an extremely hard worker, always striving to provide for his children. When he wasn’t working he loved to spend time at his family retreat, known as “The Barn” outside of Raystown, PA, where he enjoyed the outdoors. He had a uniquely dry sense of humor and was very quick witted.

Surviving are his two sons, Lawrence “Larry” O’Herrick and his wife Patricia of Perkiomenville and Frank O’Herrick of Barto, 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and his son-in-law, Mark Wurth.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by three sons, (baby) James, David and Ronald O’Herrick and one daughter, Cynthia Wurth.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446, where his family will receive friends in Church, prior to Mass, beginning at 9:30 AM.
