Catherine Storti—2/19/2023

Catherine (nee. Valeo) Storti, age 101, of Lansdale, passed away peacefully at her home, on Sunday, February 19, 2023.   

Born in Ambler she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Santa Barbara (nee. D’Amico) Valeo. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Louis J. Storti who passed away in January of 1988.   

After moving to Lansdale in 1946, she had a long career working at Philco Ford Visteon, where she held many different positions in her almost 30 years.   

Mrs. Storti was a devout Catholic and volunteered for many activities at her beloved Parish of St. Stanislaus. She loved to praise her God through song. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph Choir, St. Stanislaus Choir and the Arch-diocesan Choir at the Cathedral of Ss. Peter and Paul. One of the highlights of her life was singing for Saint John Paul II, when he made his historic Papal visit to Philadelphia.   

She is survived by her devoted daughter Maria (Micky) Vinci, two loving grandchildren Lenny and his wife Amanda and Christina Vinci, and two great granchildren Rory and Merritt Vinci as well as one sister, Mary Wozniak. 

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded by a son, John P. Storti and two sisters, Jenny Ferrara and Frances Reiff. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. 19446, where her family will receive friends in Church, prior to Mass from 9:30 to 10:15 AM.  Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Norristown. 

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Catherine’s name can be made to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at the address above.

  1. Mom-Mom, not a day goes by that I do not think of you. You loved and lived a full life. You were a very loving and caring woman, who loved being around your family and friends. You are gone, but never forgotten. My beautiful Mom-Mom, you will always hold a special place in my heart. I miss spending time with you in your room, talking to you, and seeing your big smile on your face. I will always cherish all the talks we had and looking at all your jewelry. I know you are watching over your family. The years will always roll on by and time will always pass, but every memory I have of you will definitely always last.

  2. Maria, I’m so very sorry to learn that your dear Mom passed. I just saw the St Stan’s bulletin. She was wonderful! My Mom, Betty G, loved her and her sisters! So glad I spoke with her when my Mom was sick… 💔 sending everyone Love.

  3. Marla and I are Very Sadden at the Passing of Mrs. Storti. My Life has been touched by her for over 60 years. Her Son John was not only my Best Friend but was my Best Man in my Wedding and I in his Wedding. He past way too soon. Ever since then, after the passing of my Mom, she become my Second Mom as I called her and was there through the years. We always visited her when we came back East from San Diego to visit Micky and Catherine. I will Miss Her Dearly. Love You Mom. Michael Maiorano with Condolences and Sadness from my Wife Marla.   5. John’s mom, as I always new her, always made me feel at home no matter how many years past since our last encounter. She and Lou welcomed me into their home over 57 years ago. While many years have passed the memories remain. Rest in peace Mrs. “S’.
