Derek Vartanian passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.  He was 40 years old.

He was born in Lansdale, Pa., on November 12, 1982, to Jeanne (Cox) Hegel (Lansdale, Pa.) and Andrew Vartanian (Yardley, Pa.).  In addition to his parents, Derek is survived by his brother Nathan Hegel (Los Angeles, Ca.), his maternal grandmother, Marie Cox (Lansdale, Pa.), one half brother, Jason Vartanian. and one half sister, Marissa Vartanian, as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. 

He will wipe every tear from their eyes,
and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain.
