George Henry Wilde, III—3/31/2023

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the loss of George Henry Wilde, III, of Hatfield, Pa., who passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 in Quakertown, Pa., with his daughters by his side.

Born in Norristown, Pa., on July 23, 1956 to Anne and George Wilde, Jr, he was one of four children, Barbara, Latitia, George, and John. George lived his entire life in Pennsylvania. Family was always important to George. He spent his life dedicated to them and treasured shared times, including celebrating birthdays, holidays, and vacations. He was a volunteer coach for his daughter’s softball teams and taught them how to build, fix, or “MacGyver” anything as he was a very talented handyman. He loved supporting his favorite sports teams, including the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, enjoyed many relaxing cruises with Royal Caribbean, cooking for himself and others, gardening, and swimming in his backyard pool.

George was employed throughout his career as a skilled metrologist, ensuring the accuracy of parts for companies like General Electric and NASA as part of the Quality Control team at SPS Technologies where he worked most of his life. He proudly followed in his father’s footsteps when he joined the United States Military as a Military Police Officer in the United States Airforce Reserve.

George is survived by his wife, Helen, of Hatfield, PA, daughters, Anne Marie Muratore (Joe), and Jenifer Brown (Tim) both of Quakertown, Pa., sisters Barbara Colby (Glenn) of Bar Harbor, Maine, and Latitia “Letty Wilde” Tulino, of Sellersville, Pa., as well as his former wife and mother of his daughters, Teresa Wilde, of Quakertown, Pa. His legacy will also live on in his five grandchildren, great granddaughter, and beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Anne Wilde, and his brother, John Wilde.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Simcox~McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 East Main St. Lansdale, PA 19446 from 9am to 11am with a short service to begin at 11am.
